Club members come out in force to see Manchester United crowned Champions of Europe

Best wishes to club members Ronan Darcy & Jenny Lawlor, who will be married on Thursday 14th August at St. Andrews Church Bagenalstown. We hope you have a great day and a long and happy future together.

There was a huge turn out at The Red Lion (approximately 240 people) for the Champions League Final. The night produced scenes of joy, anguish, terror, and then the greatest moment in the clubs short history as United were crowned Champions of Europe when all seemed lost when Ronaldo had missed his penalty. The huge crowd danced and sang into the night and again on Thursday as the after party continued. A night to remember for all.

Club members meet for Man Utd v Barcelona Champions League Semi-Final 2nd Leg

Approximately 90/100 members of the Bagenalstown Red Devils met in The Red Lion pub for the champions league semi-final second leg against Barcelona. It turned out to be one of the best nights out the club has had. A great result was followed by many sing songs with Peter Doyle and his magic hat leading the chorus. The lyrics for these songs are now available on the club website for members who wish to join in next time round. Finger food was provided by Barth Murphy and we would like to take this opportunity to thank him. Many sick heads were reported on Wednesday morning but all agreed it was well worth it. Pictures taken on the night will appear in the photo gallery section soon.

Engagement Announcement

Congratulation to club members Paul Gardiner and Carol Coffey who recently got engaged. We would like to wish the happy couple all the best for the future.

Leinster Minor Final Result

The Carlow Minor Football team were defeated in the Leinster final by only two points by Laois on a scoreline of 1-12 to 3.08. Local player Alan Corcoran game on as a second half sub and performed extremely well. The lads are still in with a chance of All-Ireland glory as they now play Galway in the quarter finals. A repeat performance should see the lads advance to the All-Ireland Semi Final. Bagenalstown Red Devils would like to wish all the team the best of luck.
